Today, United Way of Central Georgia reported that the organization had exceeded its fund raising goal of $4,325,000 by raising more than $4,500,000 in 2014. The announcement was made by 2014 Campaign Chairwoman Eddie Norris, President & CEO of CB&T Bank, at United Way’s Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration held at the Middle Georgia State College Conference Center.

“We are so grateful to all our volunteers and donors for making this remarkable accomplishment possible. The funds include a $75,000 grant from the Peyton Anderson Foundation to continue our Read2Succeed Grade Level Reading efforts,” said Norris.  “In addition, we received grants from other foundations including the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, Arthur Perdue Foundation and Major League Baseball just to name a few.”
