Where Does the Money Go?

Community Impact is about improving lives by mobilizing communities to create sustained changes in community conditions. A Community Impact Agenda is a road map identifying what truly matters to make Central Georgia a better place to live, work, and raise our families. It is an agenda that suggests ways to connect our community strengths and assets with opportunities to address what is important and needed by our citizens.

A Community Impact Agenda positions United Way to bring people together around a set of human service issues. It drives the way United Way and others invest time and resources. It focuses on "What does the community need?" Community Impact Agendas promote long-term strategies that produce measurable results - results that can be sustained over time.

United Way of Central Georgia's focus areas include:

  • Education – Helping Children and Youth Achieve Their Potential
  • Income – Promoting Financial Stability and Independence
  • Health – Improving People’s Health
