Maurio Houser is a veteran and father of six. When he returned to the United States after his time in the Army, the transition to civilian life was rough. When he couldn't make enough money to feed his family, he turned to selling drugs on the streets. He learned a lot of lessons the hard way, but now he is getting his life back together. He's now held a job for over a year and just got custody of two of his children last month after they've been through several foster homes over the last few years.
When United Way of Central Georgia and The Merrie Christmas Project learned his story over Christmas, we couldn't wait to help make Christmas a little brighter for this man (and his family) as he works so hard to get back on track.
