In support of United Way of Central Georgia's Read United program, UWCG is inviting the Central Georgia community to a musical evening with Dr. Bill Barnes on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 6:30pm at The Grand.
The concert is presented by Piedmont Ortho, which features Macon native and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Bill Barnes. He is well known for his musical talents as a songwriter, musician and solo artist. Dr. Bill and his band are presenting a special evening of original music and time-tested favorites for this special event.
Concert proceeds will benefit UWCG's Read United program. Read United works to overcome the literacy challenges facing Central Georgia by providing tutoring to kindergarten through third grade students. Volunteer tutors help children strengthen their reading literacy, become a positive influence in the child's life, and contribute to the overall health and wellness of our community.
“I am excited to perform in my hometown of Macon, Georgia, with my band. I formed The Billy Money Band with some of the best session players out of Nashville. It should be a lot of fun and very entertaining. With all the proceeds benefiting United Way of Central Georgia’s Read United program, the evening will be even more special. Please join me in raising funds to help our community be a better place to raise our kids,” said Dr. Barnes.
Tickets are available in advance for $45 or at the door for $50. Tickets are on sale now.
