Mercer University
Lesli Underwood moved to Macon in 2006 when her husband, Bill, was named President of Mercer University. In addition to her duties for Mercer University, she has served as a board member of Macon Arts, Historic Macon, Hay House, American Heart Association. She has also volunteered with Read United and at First Baptist Church of Christ.
Prior to living in Macon, Lesli was an elementary school teacher and a music educator. She served as President for Waco Parents for Public Schools and as a board member for the national organization of Parents for Public Schools, as well as volunteering with the Waco Hippodrome Theatre, Waco Symphony, Mountainview Elementary PTA, Lake Air Middle School PTA and the Waco High PTA.
