Food insecurity is a problem all communities face. Many people, including children, worry about where they can find their next meal. Here at United Way of Central Georgia, we are working to help bridge this gap. 14.1% of people in Georgia are food insecure, but 17.7% of Central Georgians are food insecure. Some of the most startling statistics are in Hancock County where nearly 1 in 4 people have trouble accessing food.
